I am about to buy a BMW M5 with a manual transmission, and I wonder whether it is possible to convert from manual to automatic or manual car? If so, where can I do? How much does it cost?

E39 basic transmission is based on the S62 V8 in the M5 is mounted, it would require custom adapters to a separate drive shaft which would be required, and adapters and disk Guibo should be changed to fit with the work shaft. As for your question, for only a 540i with an automatic update and look for a package M5 hell or take a refreshed and 525/528/530. . . That's what most people to hell, you even find a for sale with the pack and finished appearance

NEW Garbage M5, were never offered automatically. From what I saw and read. But it is possible, I think the other this year, BMW is the screw of the V8 car. Get the E60, if you want an automatic (or in a rare E34 alpina) At an M5 E39 with an automated system that would cost a tremendous amount of money, change - at least I have about 5k risk, without so much as work. Not to mention that it would destroy the resale value, since each purchase of an M5 E39 should 6spd.

Auto-Manual? Get this sound much better than the 2 other transmissions. $ 500.00 complete installation. Everything to do before it's too late.
